Gender
Across the country, TVET providers are championing innovative, inclusive, accessible, and gender-responsive learning environments that equip the next generation with the skills needed for success.
The Bhutan Education and Skills Training (BEST) Project supports this transformation by strengthening Bhutan’s reformed TVET system and aligning training with labour market needs to drive socio-economic growth. By identifying system strengths and addressing gaps, BEST promotes gender equality and equity in TVET, encouraging youth, especially women and persons with disabilities, to see TVET as a first-choice pathway for learning and career advancement.
To promote gender equality and equity, the BEST team created the #SheCan and #YouCanToo campaigns to help women and girls see themselves in STEM education and careers.
